Why use Offplan3D?

Our critical advantage lies in our wide background range of training (from traditional art to architecture to graphic design/ illustration to film making) and our depth of experience (from software design and the first Macintosh graphics computers to Beta testing tomorrows software).

This allows us to suggest a much broader range of, often more cost effective, solutions than other companies.

Our prices

Please contact us for our Rate Card and for the actual cost of the jobs opposite. We also work to set budgets (for set amounts of work) if required. All prices are based on our hourly rate, the only exceptions to this is a 15% discount for either charities or first time customers (with payment before final delivery) as we are confident of repeat work.

We aim to manage your expectations so that both parties have a fair idea what they are getting at the end of the job.

Our products

The range of output formats we offer includes:

Stills- for print work e.g. brochures, newsprint ads, web ads, site boards (up to 50x TV resolution) and exhibition graphics.

Animation- DVD PAL (standard) and HDTV, Web, Mobile Phones and presentations.

Interactive- Panoramic 360' interactive scenes or fully accessible interactive 3D models via the web (follow photo gallery link).

Real world models- produced from computer generated files (using cutting edge technology previously only economical for rapid prototyping).

Stereoscopic images and animations- (require blue/ red lens glasses to view).

Lenticular prints (either 3D or animated)- impressive results that can be viewed normally.

3D PDF This is a test example of an Interactive 3D PDF model that can be either viewed online/ downloaded/ or supplied on disc. There are also the options of including video, feed back forms, web links, audio and interactive menus to the document. (Requires Adobe Reader 8 or higher).
A good manual is a selling point. Simplicity and ease of use are key factors with modern products, just look at the sucess of the iPod. Also:

-Virtually everyone has acess to a DVD player.

-The ability of animation to clearly educate, explain and inform is far in advance of traditional printed manuals.

-More and more purchasing decisions are being made virally or via reviews. An easy to understand/ use product will always come out on top of its competition.

-The advantages of DVD over web/ mobile are:
-Can be played 'In store' on a TV screen.
-The 'Includes free DVD' can be displayed on the packaging, increasing precieved product value.
-No limit on quality/ file size (as with downloaded versions).
We can produce animated .gif images for web pages (very fast loading)

Flash Manuals

This is a quick example of an online Instruction Manual. The big plus points of producing this as 3D Animation are:

-much faster to download than video (even to dial-up users), Flash file sizes are much smaller in comparison.

-onscreen interactive menus and buttons (not shown on this example) which allow the user to easily be guided in a step by step process.

-less cluttered and clearer than a live action video, plus the ability to use effects not availible to live action video.

-
mobile phone downloads have the advantage of portability and transferability. e.g you can carry your phone onto a roof to install a roof light (where a laptop would be impracticle) and instantly bluetooth the video to someone elses phone.

*at present Flash has to be converted to video for most mobile phones, although most new phones in 2008 will be able to play Flash files (which are much smaller and clearer)
